South Creek Development, a Hill Tide Partner, is pleased to announce that the proposed Oklawaha Village project, submitted for funding by Housing Assistance Corporation, has been awarded $8,300,000 in Low Income Housing Tax Credits from the North Carolina Housing Finance Agency. South Creek served as a development consultant on the transaction. The project will consist of 78 apartment units situated in six, three-story buildings located on a single lot of approximately 6.43-acres. The units will be targeted to families at 30%, 50%, and 60% AMI. The location of Oklawaha Village is near employment hubs, which will be convenient for the tenants. It is less than 1.1 miles from historic Hendersonville downtown, yet situated in a quiet location surrounded either by other existing and proposed residential uses or natural buffer provided by Mud Creek. Housing Assistance Corporation anticipates breaking ground in February 2019, and anticipates 100% construction completion by February 2020.
