Generation Housing recently announced the proposed Estates at Rockwell in Oklahoma City, OK has been awarded $7,250,000 in Low Income Housing Tax Credits from the Oklahoma Housing Finance Agency. Estates at Rockwell is a planned 68-unit, garden-style affordable housing development. The development will consist of three residential buildings and a clubhouse. All units are affordable, with an income mix consisting of 28 units at 50% AMI and 40 units at 60% AMI. The unit mix includes 12 one-bedroom units, 32 two-bedroom units, and 24 three-bedroom units. Units will incorporate an “open concept design”, and amenities will include Energy Star Appliances, a dishwasher, ceiling fans, laundry connections, High-efficiency HVAC, faux wood flooring, Low-E windows, covered entries, nine-foot ceilings, microwave ovens, additional storage, thirty (30) year shingle roof, and 100% masonry exterior. The development will provide an abundance of amenities for residents, including barbeque grills, computer learning center, community room and a fitness center. Located in the southeast quadrant of NW 78th street and Rockwell Avenue, the development is strategically located in close proximity to major arterials, large employers and retailers. Generation anticipates closing on the project in June 2019, and 100% construction completion by June 2020.
